The NeXT GEN FLL team invited Matt Sherald to the GEARS center to talk about alternate energy. Matt is from PIMBY (Power In My Back Yard), a group that specializes in installing small power generation facillities in people's homes.
Matt expained how electrical power is measured and several alternative ways it can be generated.
The team got to experiment with the tools that Matt uses to evaluate homes for power generation suitability. The team also experimented with a solar panel and wind turbine blade.
