September SuGO Sunday was an exciting event. The day was spent building and competing LEGO Sumo robots. At the end of the day, the finals match was between Kendrick Bender and Hunter Friend. Each robot was ejected from the ring at least once, taking the match to a tie-breaker.
Kendrick's robot prevailed in the third game. His stratecgy was to develop a 4 wheel drive system, and take the robot's weight right up to the 1.5 pound limit. Kendrick's driver only had legs (see photo) because his torso took the robot over the weight limit :)
The next SuGO competition is on October 7th.
