Notice the distribution of the flotation to balence the weight of the three thruster motors. Also notice the 6-way automotive connector on the end of the tether. This enables us to disconnect from the control board to wind and unwind the tether.
The tether is made up of three runs of 20AWG speaker wire.
Small pieces of foam are added every foot for the first 10 feet of tether. This keeps it above the ROV and away from obstacles on the bottom of the lake/pond.
