Garrett County FLL Get Together at GEARS next week.

Hi everyone,

Lot's of interest has been expressed about FIRST LEGO League (FLL) for the 2011 Season - "Food Factor" Challenge. Last year ten FLL teams from Garrett County competed and it looks like we'll have at least as many again this Fall. For this to happen we'll need many new coaches, mentors and volunteers.

One of Garrett County’s FIRST LEGO League robotics teams, NeXT GEN, recently competed at the FIRST World Festival in St. Louis, Missouri.

All of the Garrett County FLL (FIRST LEGO League) teams returned from the Maryland Championship with award trophies, but the most excited team was the Southern Middle School team NeXT Gen (#971).

The team had just won the "Champion's Award" which qualifies them to attend the World Championship in St. Louis in April.

Congratulations to all the teams. Now the real work begins!
